Step 2: Create a Property

Enter a property name (usually your business name), set your reporting time zone and currency, then click Next.

Step 3: Business Details

Select your industry category and business size, then click Next. Choose your business objectives and click Create.

  • Direct installation — Add the gtag.js snippet to your website's <head>
  • CMS plugin — Use your platform's built-in analytics integration

Step 6: Verify Data Collection

Go to Reports → Realtime in GA4 and visit your website. You should see your visit appear within seconds.
