Why Verify Your Domain?

Domain verification confirms you own a website with Meta. It's required for editing link previews, configuring Conversions API, and prioritizing pixel events under iOS restrictions.

Step 1: Open Meta Business Settings

Go to business.facebook.com/settings.

Step 2: Go to Brand Safety → Domains

In the left sidebar, click Brand SafetyDomains.

Step 3: Add Your Domain

Click Add, enter your domain (e.g., yourbusiness.ca), and click Add Domain.

Step 4: Choose a Verification Method

Meta offers three methods:

  • DNS TXT Record — Add a TXT record to your domain's DNS (recommended)
  • HTML File Upload — Upload a file to your website's root directory
  • Meta Tag — Add a meta tag to your homepage's <head>

Step 5: Verify

After completing your chosen method, click Verify Domain. DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to propagate.
